Emergency 911 - The Emergency 911 Call box is located in the front of the clubhouse on the wall just to the left of the door. This call box will connect you to the 911 emergency system. Should there be an emergency, all you have to do is open the cover, push the button, and wait for the 911 operator to answer. Remember that emergency people will respond, even if only the button is activated. This system was installed in the memory of John "Jack" Piehnik who first suggested it to the board
NYS Hunter Safety Courses - Each year, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation offers the NYS Hunters Safety Course to hunters. This course is offered various times during the fall, usually in October, and once in the spring. These classes are always booked full, and many of the classes are held at the BCSA clubhouse.
Note: Broome County Sportsmen's Association is not responsible for scheduling these classes, or registering attendees. For more information, call Rudy Hector at (607)-722-9533 or Jim Stark at (607)-775- 9291, who represent the NY DEC.
Hunter Safety Instructors - There are openings for Hunter Safety Instructors in this area. We have lost a number of instructors recently (due to job transfers, etc.) and have a number of openings. Remember the future of the sport is in the youths of today.
Please read the Official Rules for the BCSA.
If you do not fully understand the above rules and regulations or require further explanation, it is your responsibility to contact any member of the Board of Directors.
