The range is measured and marked at the appropriate
distances for smallbore silhouette:
10 chicken targets at 40 meters (43.7 yards)
10 pig targets at 60 meters (65.6 yards)
10 turkey targets at 77 meters (84.2 yards)
10 sheep targets at 100 meters (109.4 yards)
For each five round stage (one shot, left
to right, at each target in a bank of five), a shooter is allowed
a maximum of 2-1/2 minutes.
Firing on the targets is performed using a
.22 caliber rifle with telescopic sights. Shooters must fire
off-hand, which means no table, sandbags, or other supports are
used.
