Youth Programs (cont.)

Camp Sponsorships for Youth - Broome County Sportsmen's Association provides financial assistance for one or more youths each summer to attend a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation camp. In 2002, BCSA sponsored a 14-year old teen, who was not a BCSA member, to go to the DEC's Camp DeBruce. See her comments below.

September 3, 2002 Dear Members of the Broome County Sportsmen's Association, Thank you for sponsoring me to go to Camp DeBruce, I had the best time ever! The last couple of years, I've been going to Girl Scout camp, and Camp DeBruce was 1000 times better. I hope to go back next year on the 4th week of summer for returnee week. On the way I was a little nervous about going, but in the end I didn't want to go home. I met lots of kids and the counselors were great! As well as this letter, I have included a picture of me at camp. Thank you again for your generosity. Sincerely, C. F.
